I know the fun police are gonna totally crucify me for this one, but the first thing I look for when I go on holiday is a gym. Okay… maybe the second thing after the beach and the deckchair with my name on it. Fellow fitness lovers out there will understand that finding a gym at your holiday destination is not necessary just to keep your fitness level up, but also to fight off boredom – there’s only so long I can chill for before i’m just dying for a barbell on my back and adrenaline running through my veins!
When Gym Nomad reached out to me to let me know they were launching in Amsterdam I got really over excited. Considering the lengths we went to to find a gym on my last holiday involved a 20 euro taxi trip to the wrong destination, an hour walk in 40 degree heat, a bus journey and finally a run through the wilderness, my excitement was justified.
Gym Nomad is a site dedicated to fitness junkies like you and I. It allows you to find the best membership for your trip, based on where and how long you’re staying. It’s so frustrating when you have to pay loads for a day pass every day you’re travelling, when a long term membership is only slightly more expensive! Gym Nomad searches the options to find the best deal for your needs.
They’ve just launched in Amsterdam and I can’t wait until they launch internationally, hopefully in time for my next trip further afield.
